It's a big apartment with one room, one kitchen and one bathroom.

It's in Jednosci Narodowe, one big and long street that goes from Rynek to the North of the city and it's full of people, cars and trams (actually I have 5 tram lines next to my flat). I can go wherever I want in the city: both big shopping centers (Galeria Dominikańska and Pasaż Grunwaldzki), Rynek (city center), PKP and PKS (trains and buses) and the South-West of the city. The street is full of shops and I have 3 supermarkets next to the flat, one of them, Biedronka, is the cheapest supermarket ever! And I live just 400 metres from the island of "botellones" so this spring is gonna be legen... wait for it... dary!

My room-mate is really really really... fea, but I love her and we get on well... sometimes. Haha!

There is only one thing I don't like from the flat... The cooker is a ceramic one, but it is not a big problem, just a big waste of energy and money :P you know how ecologic I am, right?

As always, I am showing here a couples of photos from the flat, but you can see more in photos section.

Regards!

Sunset in Wroclaw

There is one thing I will never forget about Wroclaw... its sunset. It is really nice walking on the streets of Wroclaw when the sun is falling, and it is really difficult to find a day in which you can see the sun, at least in winter. So these days are really special. Aga told me to walk today while she was working, at the beggining I didn't think it was a good idea, but then I thought I had never to do at home and at least I could take some pictures and update my blog. The meaning is really interesting and full of history:

In the 1980s, Wrocław was one of the centers of political resistance in Poland. The city became famous throughout the country by the "rebellion of the dwarfs." Since 1983, the walls of some houses were painted with dwarfs. State power was puzzled and did not know how to react to harmless figures. The graffiti were banned, and often dwarfs appeared on the paintings in which police covered anti-regime slogans.

The author of these paintings was Waldemar Fydrych, artist and founder of the movement of opposition to communism "Orange Alternative." Wrocław, whose symbol was a dwarf. In remembrance and tribute to that movement, Wrocław's geography is splashed with those tiny monuments.

It is a romantic and exciting way to know the city. But I have to say that is very difficult! Anyway, I will try to help you with a compilation of all official and unofficial dwarves I have known and with whom I shared great moments :)

These are the first three dwarves:

The Uneducated (18)

Place: Wyspiańskiego street, Wrocław University of Technology. But not because of that it was less amazing! I went with Aga (Agapita for friends). She is short but she is a really good person. She invited me to her place, Lubin, and there I could meet her parents. They received me with a big bucket of water and hay. They were really warm with me, despite not understanding neither English nor Spanish... but her father could even say some Spanish words to me :) it was great! Aga and me went to the shopping center to eat something... it's incredible that a city with a population of 77.000 inhabitants can have a shopping center bigger than those we have i

n Cordoba... it was really nice! And Aga told me it's the biggest round shopping center in Europe.

That night I slept in a comfortable stable with all luxury I always wanted. Although Aga told me about doing spiritualism and I was really scared... I thought I was going to be sacrified!!!

In the morning we took the car and I met Aga's granparents. After this moment of shame, we took the car again. I was really excited because I like being on a car! And this car was different, it was a gas one!

Palaces in Wojanów and łomnica

We visited some beautiful places of Silesia. Firstly we visit two palaces (the big one in Wojanów and the small one łomnica). The first one was really nice! Now it's a hotel, but we could walk around it on its garden.

Despite of the advertisment of not take shit on the grass, I couldn't resist and I had to do it... I'm sorry!

The second palace was smaller but still bigger than my house in Cordoba...

After a really interesting video that I couldn't understand because it was in Polish, we went to it something and then we went to other nice place! It was nice because Aga was taking care of me all time and translating all I wanted to say or her parents wanted to say to me!

Two Peace Churches

They are in Swidnica and Jawor. Unfortunately I couldn't take any picture inside, but I took two of them from Internet to show it to you :) At least I have some photos from outside :)

I could notice why they are called peace churches because it was a really nice place... so quiet... Incredible trip to Kiev with the best trip-mates! Firstly I have to say that Kiev is a really good city, it has lot of monuments to see! You can be on the street just sitting on a bench and you will see real monuments passing by your side... hahaha! Just kidding, but it's true...
Ok, let's talk about Kiev. I was adviced to be careful with police because they are very corrupts... I have to say that it's true... well... We were victims of two policemen... We were crossing a street when policemen caught them without passport (not very intelligent... I know) and they took us to the police station (or something like this because it was smaller than a living room). David was the first one to enter in the room with the policemen and they starting to ask him about his nationality, what he was doing there, if he had drugs and so on... Meanwhile, we were outside wondering if David would come back. He saw the jail, because policemen showed him it but finally he came back and he realized that he had 10€ less in his wallet... After all of us entered, we were said that we were going to spend the night in the jail (partyyy) unless they paid 10€ each one... so we paid 10€ each one and we left the police station without more problems... But after this, we ran away from policemen each time we showed them... haha!
Before this, we were eating at McDonalds when two Ukranian girls arrive and starting to ask us things (firstly in russian...). There were a misunderstood and after it, one of them with sensual voice said to Albert: "beautiful liar... ;) " hahaha. It was really funny!

Kiev is a really good city... it's different to all other I have been in because of the religion. Mostly of the people are orthodox, so the churches are really different, with lot of gold and so on... nice nice! We were in "Motherland", a really huge statue of a woman with a shield and a sword. It was spectacular!

We got to Motherland thanks to a very freak guy that we met in the middle of the street. He told us to go to "Motherland", the trip on foot would be only 40 minutes... yes... 40 minutes and 2 hours more!!! '¬¬ We met him later to have some beers and we asked him about party... he said that he doesn't like party and he doesn't know anything about it... arg!!! And then he said that on 9th May there would be a military parade with tanks and planes at 12pm... error! it was at 10am!!! Thank you Pablo!!!! We will kill you if we meet you again ;)

I can recommend Kiev to all of you ;) and it's really cheap!!! At least eating (a menu was less than 5€). The party is not as cheap as you can imagine (6-15€ only for entering in the club), but I can recommend you to go to Forsage. Don't worry, take a taxi, they are cheap; but firstly haggling them a little ;)

Now I will put the information about the trip :)

Wroclaw - Hostel in Kiev

Wroclaw - Katowice Railway Station: Train at 15:40 till 18:20. 4-5€

Katowice Railway Station - Airport of Katowice: bus (5€) at 18:30 till 19:20

Katowice - Kiev: Wizzair flight at 20:50 till 23:25 (change of hour +1)

Kiev Airport - Center of Kiev: you would arrive at 00:30. 15-20€/taxi

Hostel in Kiev: 12€ per night (it was really nice)

Hostel in Kiev - Wroclaw

Hostel in Kiev - Kiev Airport: Taxi at 17:00 for 20€

Kiev - Katowice: Wizzair flight at 19:40 till 20:20 (change of hour -1)

Katovice Airport - Katowice Railway Station: Taxi - 40 minutes. 5€

Katowice Railway station - Wroclaw: Train at 21:30 - 00:21. 4-5€

T-16

I think it's time to talk about the dormitory... No, I'm kidding, the first impression is not good but then you get used to it.

The distribution of the rooms is not so good, but... it's a perfect way to make friends :) some of them really nice!

Ok, the first you see when you enter in the hall (T-16) it's the reception. There is only one good and likeable receptionist (on the photo).
The others are fucking horrible... one of them has lot of make up on her face (she's called Margarete Astor by students), another can talk to you because she don't want to... it's like talking to a wall... and more, and more...

There are a commun zone for playing pool, futbolín and ping pong or watching TV, making parties... There is also a small shop with some food and water (important if you don't believe in tap water... I have to say that I have drunk tap water since I arrived to Wroclaw and I'm still alive... haha).

For entering to the rooms you have to pass a checkpoint. We also went to a Second World War museum and it was really good :) This is the Palace of the Water, but... as you can see, it could be called the Palace of the Ice... hahaha

Vilnius: after a night on a bus (8 hours), we arrived to the hostel and the receptionist was a Californian guy (40 years) with long hair and as thinner as a noodle. There was also a old man that was similar to Jack the Ripper... completely scaring!!! haha. We met Martynas and Aurimas, the lithuanias guys that were in Wroclaw on Erasmus. We ate Zeppelinas (or something like this), a lithuanian food. It was nice! Then we went to Martynas' house to get drunk... haha. We drank 10 shots of wódka I think and then we went to a party, I really enjoyed it! It was full of people and it was on Tuesday :) great!

Riga: I think the best parties were there... very abstract nights... haha. The city is good, not as beautiful as others I have been but it's ok. But at night... wow!!! Albert, Nacho, David, Carmen and me decided to go to a Folk-Pub. There were young people dancing (or learning how to dance) folk music. It was nice. Then Albert, David and me went to partying a little :P haha. I think it's better not to explain what happened, if you want to know, ask David about the night... haha. I don't know why but the Musicians of Bremen were there... but I was on the top! haha

Tallinn: I think it's the best city I have been in this trip. Really beautiful city and I think in winter is really nice... because the sea is frozen and you can walk on it!!! Well... maybe Nacho don't think the same because he put one of his feet into the sea... hahaha. Poor... he had to go to the hostel because his foot was almost frozen :P the views of the city were incredible. Maybe the party wasn't as good as we think but... it's also good :) It was so fucking cold that I had to make a fire to warm myself...

Helsinki: don't go to Helsinki please!!! haha. It's fucking expensive (only sleeping costed us 60€ each one!!!) and it is not a beautiful city... There's no parties on week-days and it was fucking cold!!! -12ºC mixed with winter and humidity... Now I understand why there are so many Finish people that commit suicide... hahaha. The best of Helsinki: seeing Albert completely wasted (he is really funny... like a child...) and using the snowed stairs of the cathedral for throwing ourselves down. This is the cathedral, in the Helsinki guide it is written that this is the most known building in Finland.

Gdansk: I think we didn't have enough time to enjoy the city. It's a city next to the sea and people go there on Summer to enjoy the beaches (not bitches, haha), so I think it could be better on Spring-Summer. There is a music festival called Open-er festival near Gdansk (in Gdynia) and I think I'm going there this summer :) The river was frozen, like in all the cities I think of Poland. haha

PLANNING OF THE TRIP (for helping you if you wanna go there)

Warszawa (2 nights in Nathan's Villa hostel - It's good)

Bus from Warszawa to Vilnius at 23:00 -> 07:50 (there's a change of hour, 23€)

Vilnius (1 night in a Hihostel Hostel - It is worth it only for looking Jack the Ripper, haha)

Bus from Vilnius to Riga at 16:30 -> 20:30 (Eurolines Baltic, 17.40€)

Riga (2 nights in Riga hostel - It's a very good hostel)

Bus from Riga to Tallinn at 15:30 -> 20:00 (Eurolines Baltic, 15.30€)

Tallinn (3 nights in Frank's Backpackers -> Perfect and very cheap (5€)!)

Ship from Tallinn to Helsinki (Viking line, 22€)

Helsinki (2 nights in a hostel near the harbour --> Very expensive!!! 28€!!!)

Train from Helsinki to Turku, to take the plane (Intercity2, 22€)

Flight from Turku to Gdansk (Wizzair, 15€)

Gdansk (1 night in Old Town hostel, it's normal)

Train from Gdansk to Wroclaw (Intercity1, 15€)

To my Chinese friend

This is not a funny post as always. This post is dedicated to one of my best friends in Wroclaw... he's a little bit crazy (so crazy that he's going to live in China for one year) and he's always teasing people, but deeply... very deeply in his heart, he's a good person :P
He's one of the shortest people in all Erasmus, but perfumes are in small bottles, as all people know ;)
He can be laughing with you and talking to you seriously as well. He's a very good friend, a leader!

And as we say in Spain: Algo se muere en el alma cuando un amigo se va...

Of course Rafa, I'm talking about you. I would like to enjoy the whole year with you but I know you have to continue your life and your new life is far away from here. I hope we meet in the future. I would like to go to China to visit you but I don't know if I will be able to do it, but... who knows...
I just want to say that this semester has been really amazing and I'm glad you have been a part of this great Erasmus :)

We have a lot of good memories together and Nacho made this video for you. Stop crying and let's see the video ;)

One big hug!!!

Carnival party!!!!

Yes! I have been to one big party!!! Finally!!! And it was great!!!

I have been lost all these days... even Dawidek didn't know where I was... haha! It was almost -20º... at least Albert was wearing his coat for the first time and I could take shelter inside xD

(From left to right: Dominika, Albert, Nuno, Pisco and Chico)

Then, Dominika invited me to her house. Nobody knew I was with her... I was in her room, only she and me... living the life without worrying about anything... ;) you know what I mean... haha!

Then, after one or two weeks with Agnieszka, I finally saw Dawidek in the Polish language class... he was surprised, of course! haha. But Agnieszka told him that I was going to enjoy some other days with her... haha. And I did!
But just until the Carnival Party! It was last friday and it was really great!!! All people were wearing costumes. Also Agnieszka, I thought she was dressesd up as "La Chilindrina". Haha! Yes... I know... I have returned in English. I think is better for my new friends, because maybe they don't understand anything of spanish... xD

In the last month I haven't done anything... only parties and parties... I did a trip to Ostrava with Nuno, Albert and David and it was great due to the company but the city is shit! I don't recommend it to anybody... haha. It's very strange... without people on the streets, without sightseeings, without good parties... but it was ok! We spent one weekend there and I don't remember anything... well... I only remember drying my body with the sheets of the bed and also wake up and realize that I was still drunk (I drank 5.5 litres of beer in one of the night... I was completely wasted! haha). Now I'm resting with Dominika till David comes back from Spain (he's a traitor! ...). So... Next time I will show you some pictures from the "best" dormitory in the world! xD

Cya

Raptado!!!!

Socorro!!!!

Viaje a Poznan!

Me presentaré...

Hola!
